Welcome to leitalianmonke , the space dedicated to those who love true hip hop style and vintage streetwear from the 90s and 2000s .
Our project was born from a passion for those garments that have made the history of urban culture: baggy jeans with embroidery, oversized joggers, old-school hip hop trousers, Nike, Adidas and Fila sweatshirts , workwear jackets like Carhartt and Dickies , right up to the leather, denim or pilot jackets that have marked an era.

The name “leitalianmonke”
The name leitalianmonke is no coincidence: it is the heart of our project and embodies our identity.
We chose to call ourselves this because we wanted a name that was immediate, recognizable and a little unconventional , just like the hip hop streetwear we resell.

"le" → is simple, direct, a nod to Italy and our way of speaking. It's almost a signature: it reminds us that our roots are Italian, even if our gaze is always drawn to the American street culture of the 1990s and 2000s.

“Italian” → is the part that defines us bluntly. We're Italian, raised on rap, graffiti, MTV, burned cassettes, and our first baggy jeans with embroidery. We wanted a name that conveyed this mix of global culture and local identity.

"Monke" → is the most ironic part, the one that unsettles. It's not written "monkey" but "monke," shorter, rougher. It's a deliberate mispronunciation, because we're not looking for perfection, but for authenticity. Like vintage garments: a few flaws, worn embroidery, a frayed seam—but precisely for this reason, with more history and more character.
The name represents us because it's direct, raw, and a little off-kilter , just like real streetwear. We don't want a glossy or luxury brand: we want a name that immediately makes it clear that here you'll find vintage hip-hop clothing, Carhartt jackets, embroidered Y2K jeans, old-school Adidas and Nike sweatshirts —authentic pieces that tell the story of the streets and the music of those years.
